Chiropractic is a primary health-care profession that specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that are due to mechanical dysfunction of the joints, particularly those of the spine, and their effects on the nervous system. Additionally, it focuses on treating patients without the use of drugs or medicine.

Chiropractors frequently treat individuals with such problems as headaches, joint pain, neck pain, low back pain and sciatica. Chiropractors also commonly treat patients with such conditions as osteoarthritis, spinal disc impairment, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sprains, and strains.
